Shipping, Returns, Warranty, etc.
When you’re buying anything online, it’s always a good idea to get familiar with the company policies. The REM-Fit pillows come with free standard shipping, as well as the option to pay a fee for faster shipping.
The return policy is pretty simple and reasonable—you can return your purchase within 30 days as long as the pillows are still in their original condition. REM-Fit pillows also come with a one-year manufacturer’s warranty that covers defects in workmanship or materials.
REM-Fit 400 and 500 Series Pillow Price
Perhaps the most surprising thing about the REM-Fit pillows is the hefty price tag. Which is saying something when you’re talking about pillows that have springs in them. Here’s a pricing breakdown for the REM-Fit 400 and 500 Series pillows.
As you can see, REM-Fit isn’t messing around. They say that these are premium pillows and they’re not afraid to charge premium prices. Of all the pillows we’ve reviewed, only a few are priced as steep as REM-Fit pillows.
Hybrid REM-Fit Pillows — Construction and Cover
These certainly aren’t your standard, usual pillow. REM-Fit’s 400 and 500 Series pillows are actually hybrid pillows, meaning they include coils (yes, coils) along with other cushioning materials, such as foam.
The two models we’re covering in this review have very similar constructions. The 400 Series pillow has a system of individually-wrapped coils in the middle, surrounded by a layer of down alternative cushioning material, and then encased in what they call a “Nordic Chill” cover.
The construction of the 500 Series pillow is almost the same, the only difference being that the 500 has a layer of memory foam rather than the down alternative.
The cover, by the way, is made with a “Hi-flow Knit” to allow for good airflow in order to keep your pillows sleeping cool. In other words, the material of the cover isn’t going to stifle the ventilation through the pillow. They’re also pretty good at wicking away any moisture (whether that’s fever sweat, drool, and just the dampness of post-shower hair). Thankfully, the covers are also removable and machine washable, so you keeping them clean isn’t a hassle. Plus, we feel better about a cycle through the wash than a spot clean.
REM-Fit 400 and 500 Series Pillows — Feel
While it may be a simple variation in construction, it actually translates to a significant difference in feel. The 400’s down alternative filler gives the pillow a very responsive, bouncy, airy feel. Below is a look inside the REM-Fit 400 Series pillow.
The memory foam layer in the 500 Series pillow makes it a much denser pillow with a sink-in feel. In other words, it feels like a big slab of memory foam, mostly because that’s what it is.
Both models also come in three firmness levels: Firm, Medium, and Soft. We find those designations to be accurate. For reference, the Firm 400 has a resilient fluffy feel and the Soft 400 has a squishable fluffy feel. However, none of the 400s are going to stay compressed because they’re so responsive. The 500s behave like memory foam, so they take a little longer to bounce back.
When choosing your firmness level, you’ll want to consider your sleeper type (which we’ll get to in a bit), but you’ll also want to think about how sensitive of a sleeper you are. That’s because you can slightly feel the springs in these pillows, but more so in the softer ones than in the firmer ones. We didn’t find the springs to be too bothersome while testing the pillows for a few nights, but none of our testing team are particularly sensitive sleepers.
Do REM-Fit Pillows Sleep Cool?
They really do. The Nordic Chill covers are actually cool to the touch. Once you put a pillowcase on, they aren’t quite as overtly cool, but the coils still allow for good airflow. That airflow means you still get a nice, cool pillow throughout the night.
Who Will Like the REM-Fit Pillows?
These pillows are very responsive, and because they have coils in the middle, you can’t squish them or fold them over. If that’s how you like to treat your pillows, these aren’t for you.
If you do think you’d be happy with a REM-Fit pillow, here are our suggestions for choosing your series and firmness level.
If you sleep on your back, you can usually get away with a pillow that has a bit more loft to it—about 1-4” range when compressed. You want to keep the natural C curvature of your neck. Something to keep in mind is that if you’re sleeping on your back, you want to face upward, not forward. So for back sleepers, we suggest a Medium or Firm pillow.
If you sleep on your stomach, you’ll need something flatter so that you don’t end up with your neck craned back or up at an uncomfortable angle. We suggest a Soft pillow for stomach sleeping because it will compress enough to let you lay a bit flatter.
And then if you’re a side sleeper, you’ll want a pillow with a decent amount of loft, something in 2-4” range when compressed. We’d suggest a Medium or Firm pillow for side sleepers, as well.
When it comes to choosing between the 400 and 500 Series, it really comes down to feel preference more than anything else. Although, we would say that stomach sleeper will likely appreciate the flatter, denser construction of the 500.
Overall, these are what you have to consider nice pillows. The hybrid construction makes for a very responsive and cool-sleeping pillow. The biggest drawback—assuming you aren’t bothered by the springs—is the price.
We were sent them from REM-Fit so that we could test and review them.

Yes, both the 400 and 500 Series have a hybrid construction, which is very unique for a pillow. This means the REM-Fit pillows use both foam and coils in their design.
REM-Fit offers free shipping on both of these pillows, or you have the option to may a fee for expedited shipping.
Although they have similar constructions, they have very distinct feels. The 400 Series has a responsive and airy feel, while the 500 Series has a dense memory foam feel.
